Mission Statement:
The mission of Domestic Violence & Abuse Center is to heal, educate and empower survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and to shed light into the darkness that surrounds these issues. We serve the communities in Walsh, Pembina and Cavalier counties offering:

A 24-hour Crisis Line

All information regarding our clients is held in complete confidentiality. The only exception to this may be situations where one is a danger to themselves or others.

Walk-in services during business hours by trained staff and volunteers

Information and assistance for those evaluating their relationships and victims struggling to escape violent relationships.

Emergency Shelter

Legal advocacy in the Criminal Justice system for the vicims and their family in court and with officers of the court. Assistance with Protection Orders, restitution, and reparations.

Assistance in dealing with the "system". Referrals and accompaniment to services such as housing, medical, mental health, financial assistance, child care, skills training or employment. May be able to offer limited transportation assistance.

Assistance in developing a comprehensive and invidualized Safety Plan

Community education and awareness with speakers available to schools, churches and other community organizations.

Lending library

Transitional items to assist clients in setting up new households.
