Update on State Spelling Bee
*NOTICES – 2020 State Spelling Bee *
3/20/20 – Scripps announced that the 2020 National Spelling Bee is suspended. Regarding the 2020 State Spelling Bee, payments that were already processed for 2020 event luncheons and photos will be refunded and mailed by April 15, 2020. Luncheon and photo payments that were sent in late (not processed) will be returned to the sender when it is feasible. The school enrollment fees paid to Scripps and NDACS are nonrefundable. There are no plans for NDACS to issue further notices or update the web page until the fall of 2020.
3/13/20 – The State Spelling Bee, scheduled for Monday, March 23, 2020, at the Ramkota in Bismarck, ND, is being suspended and will not occur on March 23, 2020. The decision by NDACS is in response to the statement issued by the ND High School Activities Association on March 13, 2020, regarding suspension of all remaining 2020 postseason tournaments, fine arts contests, spring sports and activities.
