Pembina County Emergency Management is offering the following training free of charge to emergency responders, hospital and clinic personnel, school personnel, and city and county government officials. The training courses listed below are a component of the basic training curriculum for NIMS (National Incident Management System) compliance as identified by the Department of Homeland Security.

Upcoming Courses:

Basic and Advanced Weather spotters: Monday, April 21 at the EOC.

An evening schedule is as follows:
6:30-7:45pm, Basic Class (75 minutes)
7:45-8:00pm, Q/A time and/or Refreshments (15 minutes)
8:00-9:15pm, Advanced Class (75 minutes)



The class will be instructed by Greg Gust, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Grand Forks. Post Board credit available.



Post Board and EMS credit available for all NIMS/ICS courses.
The Pembina County LEPC/Homeland Security Task Force has worked with your Emergency Management office to ensure key NIMS courses have been offered throughout the county. Courses to target to complete are: IS-700, IS-800, IS-100 and IS-200. If you have not yet completed these courses in a classroom setting, please consider doing so online and send copies of your NIMS certificates to Pembina County Emergency Management at em911asst@nd.gov

EMT-B Course [ongoing] Monday evenings 6 to 10 pm at the EOC (except February 11th and March 3rd class at PC Memorial Hospital) both in Cavalier (call Adam at 265-4408 or Jim at 265-8046 for more details. EMT’s earn CEU’s by attending classes.



First Responder/EMT-B Course [ongoing] at Drayton Fire/Ambulance Training Center (call Bill for more details 454-6579) EMT’s earn CEU’s by attending classes.





EMS Conference April 17th, 18th, 19th in Minot, ND (check website for more details)



Full Scale Exercise: ‘School Shooting Exercise’ at Cavalier [Date and Times – To Be Announced]
