The County Clerk/Recorder’s office is a combination of the prior Clerk of District Court’s office and the Register of Deeds’ office. This office is responsible for maintaining the district court’s files and the county’s land records. Other services and records located in the Clerk/Recorders office are: passport application, marriage license/records, money judgment records, criminal/civil record searches, land title records (mortgages, deeds and related instruments), UCC/CNS filings, and other related duties.
